Atherton Gardens in confused response to fire alarm

Atherton garden residents were sent into a disordered frenzy when the Fire Alarm Control Panels Systems that detects fires was automatically set itself off on Thursday night at 9:15pm.

It was just fault alarm set off thank God” said security that had only want to identify himself  as security 102.

But he was astonished by the reaction of the residents to the fire alarm,

“When fire alarm system set off, all residents should immediately evacuate the building without hesitation, but last night they called the security instead…. There was 200 calls coming –in , I could not answer them all,  plus  I was  to help the fire brigade member with information, it just like frenzies, and could be face fatal cases in real situations of the fire” security 102 had warned.

“There were confusion … you should see the look on their faces”.

This begs the question if the department of housing have really familiarised residents with emergency evacuation procedures.

Some of the residents were confused to what to do and seem totally very fright and tensed by the whole firm alarm situations as if some terror incidents just happen.

The fire fighter assured the residents last night that they have looked at a Fire Alarm Panel Bosch and had check at the fault and its is now gone away

“We have checks and tested for short circuit between loop wire and ground to see what the fault was, it seem to be from the water pressure loop” said the fire fighter.

Security 102 thought that it was water pressure that was culprit for the faults alarm

“Water pressure had dropped and was enough to set off the alarm raging”, said the other security guard from Wilson that look after the residents at night. It seem that a  system fault had occur maybe it might has some malfunction." He added

The Office of Housing perhaps need to investigate if all the residents understand fire and emergency evacuation procedures, especially the residents who have just moved to Australia as refugees from countries such as Sudan and Afghanistan, where English is not really spoken at all.
