Fitzroy Outdoor Cinema

yarraReporters have been roving the streets of Fitzroy asking people about their favourite movies and what they think should be screened at the inaugural Fitzroy Outdoor Cinema, happening on the 20th March on the oval at Atherton Gardens (weather permitting).

Some suggestions have included Indigenous films such as Bran Nue Dae and Samson and Delilah, Pixar's Up, a Will Smith film, Slumdog Millionaire and even David Lynch's Blue Velvet.

Due to the fact that organisers would like to appeal to a wider range of demographics, so that children can watch along with their parents, selection of the right film is crucial.

Fitzroy Open Cinema will aim to bring in people who live in Fitzroy onto the estate with the intention of bridging that divide that is underlying.
